Hello all,
From the early part of the 20C into at least the 60s--i.e., when men going to a baseball game could be expected to be wearing a hat--hatbands seem to have been available with the team name or logo on them; you can see them in photos. There also appear to have been cheap "novelty/souvenir" hats sold at the park with similar hatbands (these appear frequently in old Word Series films from the 50s and 60s).
I'm wondering if any of our fellow members have any of these, and if so, if they'd like to post photos of them? I'm lucky enough to be heading to a game at Friendly Fenway in May, intend to go in "proper" clothing....and sure would like to make up a Boston hatband, if I could find a documented style to copy...
Thanks in advance!
