And yes Otter - that sound … nothing like it. I was at RAF Duxford last year and saw 11 Spits flying - I'd never seen more than 2 or 3 at one time. Amazing. And there were dozens of vintage aircraft (Me-109s, Spits, Hurris, Sae Furies, P-40s, P-51s etc etc) from WW2 and at the end, they all did a mass flypast - and the noise … wonderful. I'll never forget that as long as I live.

Stearmen, thanks so much for the documentaries. I found the 303 Squadron piece well done. My ancestry is Polish, my great-grandparents having
arrived in the USA in the 1880's.
