Greetings all!

I've got an interesting hat for you here. It was made by The Guyer Hat Co. for Jas. F. Rice haberdashery. According to Clothiers' and Haberdashers weekly of 1897 Mr. Rice "established a hat factory in Pottsville, Pa., began operations with a large force last week." The Guyer Hat co. opened their factory in June of 1908, sO I'm guessing this dates from sometime between then and 1920.

However, what really makes this a find is the SIZE. In an era when men tended to have smallER heads, to find one in a 7 5/8 (a full 24" on the band) is pretty rare. There are a couple of worn places, that might be lessened by someone with the knowledge and skill, but the locations don't detract from the hat. I've done my best to compare prices, and think a fair price to be $95 plus actual shipping. If you have any questions, please drop me a note.

Cheers,
Mark
