Buzz rickson m-43 suede wet toes

Hi, I got these boots a few months ago https://www.buzzricksons.com/footwear/841-m-43-service-shoes.html And whenever I wear them in the rain like (not heavy rain just spitting) the right toe just soaks up any water and soaks through to the socks. Is this a fault in the boots? Anyway to fix it? Wanted to wear them all year but doesn’t look like I’ll be able to wear them in wet winter days.

The leather needs to be treated. I normally use Sno-Seal but then the leather will lose that suede look. You might try a spray on water proofer. I don't use them so I don't have a good suggestion but I'm sure someone will chime in.
