Christmas Vintage: The Parker 51

The Parker 51 was a fashionable innovation in fountain pens, introduced in 1941. Wartime restrictions kept demand unfilled until sometime post-war. Billed "The World's Most Wanted Pen" in advertising, examples are still desirable today.

Here's a nice looking one, in a good color.

Your first listing is clearly stated as being a Chinese copy, not a Parker. Big difference even if it is nice looking.

(The Chinese are copying them???)

One of the Hero models for the domestic market is a dead ringer - the 300 or 600, I think. And there are counterfeits of those on sale in Beijing. It's a fun town. :)

Try some of the Wearevers from the late 40s early 50s like the Zenith or Pennant. They are good everyday use pens, inexpensive and being lever fill they are easy to fix.
