Cockpit Vintage G-1 jacket (G&B M442A) advice/ help

Hi guys,

Not to beat on an already pummeled pony, but I am pretty new to the thread and have done a search for info, but have not found what I am looking for.
I may be in the market for a M442A/ G-1. I truly 'get' the advice on getting a vintage jacket, but I am in South Africa, so not very keen on an Ebay, tho I am lookin'.
I may, possibly, be popping in to the US at years end and toying with the idea of using the opportunity to pick up a jacket.
I am looking for a daily wearable M442A or G-1, not necc super accurate.

Cockpit vintage G-1 and G&B Navy M442A come to mind. (although those Bill Kelsos look fantastic too).
I am concerned about the Cockpit sizing, I hear they run short in the body. Don't like that.
So...
I am 5'11, weigh in at around 158, pretty slim. Wear a 40 slightly longer sleeves Aero 15142.

Does anybody have measurements for a size 40 and PICS please! Same applies for G&B M442A!
