Dating a Stetson Royal Deluxe Open Road based on Hang Tag price

I have a Stetson Royal Deluxe Open Road that is in awfully nice condition. Unfortunately it is a smaller size, 7/8. Yeah, I know. I need a 7 1/4 myself. What I'm wondering about is the age of the hat. It has the original hang tag that shows it is size 7/8 (6 7/8) and it still has the perforated tear away part of that tag that gives the price of $12.50. I'm wondering if anyone knows the history of these hats well enough to tell me for sure when this hat was made based on that price. Thanks!

I see your hat on Ebay now. The OPS tag puts your hat in the time of the Korean war.

Thanks carouselvic! I found a post here at the Fedora Lounge that gave me an idea of the age. According to that, the $12.50 price I think would put it right where you said. I have it on Ebay as you mentioned, many are "watching" we'll see if someone bids.
