Dollar for dollar - Milan vs. Panama

Howdy all,

There are some very nice Panamas at the higher price points. My question is about comparing the quality of the lower priced Panamas against the lower priced Milans ($100 and under). Dollar for dollar is there a clear winner?

I ask because last week I picked up a Dobbs Bellagio in Milan and it far out classes the Panama Fedora that I bought earlier this summer (before discovering this place). Both sell for about the same price, although I got the Dobbs at a discounted price. As far as bang for my buck, at the lower price points, is Milan typically better than Panama?

I agree - and I happen to prefer apples. That said, I would take a good orange over a bad apple any day.
