May I recommend something to warm your gramophone and get those toes tapping?

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, a particularly good offering on Stereophonic Compact Disc, "Glenn Miller: The Centennial Collection"

The label is Bluebird, catalogue # 82876-59104-2. The set includes a CD of all GM's hits, remastered in 24 bit sound (including 3 previously unreleased tracks) and a seperate (but in the same box) DVD with film appearances, wartime appearances and - amazingly - home movie clips shot by bassist Trigger Alpert!

The home movie clips are a delight, with plenty of shots of suits, hats, coats, dresses and so on worn in situ, as it were.

I highly recommend it! Music is, as ever, fabulous!

Fantastic!

Looks like there are several collections out. Artie Shaw too.

For those who don't need the vid, these are all at iTunes for 9.99 per album.

Search for "Centennial Collection."

Does anyone have the Glenn Miller "Secret Broadcasts" collection?

Wow, don't even know what that is! ("Shh, It's a Military Secret" :) ) What is it?

Also, I'd like to know, anyone know of a source for these BMG centennial DVDs Without the CDs? (from the reviews, I get the idea that the hilight of these sets is the vids not the music)

Sadly, no, but.....

in the best "Great Escape" style, you could (ahem) copy one from someone?
