Any loungers hanging out on Facebook?
(Sorry if this has been asked before - but I did try the searchbutton)

First I thought it was yet another see-me, see-me dating, teen-thing, but a lot of my adult (mature) friends and collegues are there as well.
An easy way to get hold of each other, drop videos to each other etc. Good fun actually.
And no - I am not "Spitfire" there - but my real name: Soren Parup.
Link up if you feel like it.

Ya got me stumped, pal. What the heck is it? Is it like that Myplace site? I have a friend who uses that, but it seems awfully loud visually. And annoying. I won't look at his webpage there anymore.

:D You can make your site as loud or as cool as you want.
Check out mine - it's not that loud.
There are however many annoying tests, gifts and s... to send to each othe. I just never do that. (Let the teens about that)
All in all it's a good way to keep in touch with friends.

Ah yes, my teenager often sends me mad stuff like that - why she has to virtually hug me was quite beyond me! When I asked her she said it was a nice thing to begin my working day to!

So far I've managed to stay far away from the MySpace craze. I have a blog and I much prefer that format. Whenever I visit a MySpace page, I'm overwhelmed by how "busy" it is.

I've looked at Facebook, but don't know if I want to try that, either.

I couldn't get on with myspace either

again too busy for me. I do like facebook - it's a great way of keeping up with friends, without having to build a whole "virtual life" around it (which is how I felt about myspace a little).

I've had a Facebook account for a little while, but didn't really use it at all until recently. Being on the other side of the Atlantic, though, I've found it to be a fairly good way to keep in touch with friends back home, and keeping updated on what's going on with my friends here, as well.

I have both, but over time I've gotten to where I really prefer Facebook. I just think its a lot better, and calmer, and less of a popularity contest than Myspace. Not to mention the fact it seems like there are a whole bunch of spammers and junk mail floating around Myspace. Every once in a while, I think I'm going to delete my Myspace, but that hasn't happened; I just don't go on there that much.

I have both, but I am not sure which I prefer. I do not like all the trivia add ons that you keep getting asked to join and comment on with Facebook. However, I have discovered more lost friends from the past on Facebook, but made more new friends on MySpace. I don't know which one I would endorse as to being the best though.:eusa_doh:

Yeah I'm on Facebook. I deleted Myspace as it just felt like an online popularity contest. I find facebook easier to use, and easier to keep track of my friends on. I've got back in contact with a lot of old friends on facebook, whereas I found myspace a little hit or miss.

I have a facebook. I had a myspace but deleted it as it was just too much like having an advert for myself. No one can see my facebook except my friends, so it's much nicer!

I just created a "Fedora Lounge" group on Facebook. It's in the global network, so everyone should be able to join. If you have a Facebook account, please join! It's lonely being the only member.

On balance, I find mySpace slightly more intuitive than Facebook, however, mySpace is also much more commercialised now, whereas facebook still feels a little more organic. Edward Marlowe on facebook - I'll be hunting out the FL group on there. :)
