Another overcoat up for sale. This civilian British Warm was made by New & Lingwood of Jermyn St. about three years ago. It retailed for 699.- British Sterling, about $1130. I'm offering it for 25% of the price solely because I have enough vintage overcoats now.
British Warm overcoats seem to be rather hard to come by. New & Lingwood is apparently - or rather, was - the only RTW source for this type of overcoat. I have yet to see a vintage one.
$295 shipped worldwide from Germany
Measurements:
Tagged size 36 and fits like a well-fitted size 36 with narrow shoulders
chest 20.5"
waist 19.7"
sleeve 25.2"
shoulder 17.5"
back length 44.1"
Specs:
- 25oz cavalry twill wool
- fully lined; I don't know what the liner is made of, but it's duller than rayon and looks similar to the old alpaka-mohair liners - not quite, but nearer to that than to rayon.
- one inside pocket on the left, one extra-large (newspaper or scarf) pocket on the right.
- leather buttons; normal jetting button inside.
