HIGHWAY PATROL hats

I recently started getting THIS tv network from one of the extended digital broadcasts from local station. They show the old Broderick Crawford HIGHWAY PATROL show. This show is a hat showcase. Crawford is in fedora always but the cast has fedoras, felt ranger hats, older style westerns, and others.
Good watching for the hat-aware crowd.
Have your Tivo/DVR search for it.

What make/style hat is he wearing most often?
Really enjoy watching these-got Season 1 DVDs after waiting for it on Amazon.
BC is one of my heroes. I have read that he was as tight as a tick during much of the filming of this series.
