I am a BIG Dunn & Co collector, in my opinion, THE quinessential 1930's Britsh hat. Style, across all their quality ranges at this time was apparent. Here are some pictures of some G. A. Dunn's in my collection... enjoy! Any questions, ask me. Photos of the hat you are looking to buy, even better.

Elizans - I was wondering if you can help me learn anything about my hat.

There is also a union sticker on the inside of the sweatband.

Great find especially with the box! Unfortunately there isn't much information here on English Hat Industry. My focus is the German and Austrian Hat Industries. I am not sure if Dunn & Co. ever made hats. I do know they sourced them (see the above JHS Velour). I am not sure if Stefan or someone else might know of any English Hat companies that made hats for Dunn & Co. If you look back through these Dunn & Co. threads I believe there is some information (relating to G.A. Dunn & Co. wording on sweatband and liner) that might help with dating. Does it have a paper label behind sweatband? How about anything more on the box? If so can you please post photos?

Update: I went back through this thread and found the mention regarding the G.A. Dunn & Co. wording change.

"Pre 1940, it is my belief that the liners and sweats all bear the full G. A. Dunn brand and the London addresses of the flagship stores. "

If this is the case your hat is probably pre 1940 but it could be a bit later.
