Looking at a couple possibilities...need some feedback (jacket).

I like the olive A LOT. But. In this case Butte, I think a CR on you would be perfect. Be it the greedo Thedi (which I forgot about but truly love) or an Aero natural CXL. You have flight jacket covered no? I realize my credibility to move to another style is absolutely meaningless...

I gotta go off the board on this one, @Fanch. So, nothing like I've had before, and @SpeedRcrX hit the spot for me. That was the one I wanted, albeit in the two-tone with brown. However, the green says "kiss my arse" quite well and that's what I'm looking for! Still not convinced I can rock it (minus the needed slim-down of course) but maybe I should just not care, I know @ton312!

Speaks to me.
"The Greedo"!

My family would shake their collective heads everytime I got a new leather jacket, especially my wife and daughter. However, when I got my russet Vicenza Sheene, both my wife and daughter said it was great. Then when I got my black Vicenza Sheene, both said it was even better looking than the russet Sheene, and my wife even said the black Vicenza Sheene made me look younger. So, go figure??!!

The A-1 is nice but sometimes you have to know when to tell your wife she is wrong....

Yeah, well, hmmm. I get you. But maybe she's just trying to be kind and is trying to keep me from looking like the old guy in the Corvette. Have to think it over. The feedback from you guys and gals is much appreciated, and I know whatever I do, she'll dig it once it's here. I'm not worried about the natural hides becoming beat-up, quote the opposite. I'm drawn to that look now.

So, my wife is not diggin' me going moto since I'm not riding now. She thinks I'd be a poseur, or something...
But, she loves this one (she loved the GW A-1 I sold to Worf so it makes sense). I actually thought she'd hate this but not so.
So, while I'd have to ponder the minutia, thoughts?

As the owner of said olive skinned jacket I'll say this it's still unbroken. Having a harder time with it than I thought... I'll let you know what the final verdict is. Still lovin' you GW A1 though....

A natural or light brown Cross zip jacket looks amazing and you can rock it.

If you're into the padded café racer look, here's a couple of notions that are outside our usual scope in these parts. Firstly, the Helstons x Fuel Dirt Tracker. If I was buying right now, I'd jump on the plain black one of these, but they also do a really interesting two-tone:

Fuel build custom bikes; Helstons are one of the most respected old names in French motorcycling gear.

Then there is, at the cheaper end of the market, The GoldTop Waxed Tan 76, a light tan/tobacco coloured, padded café racer in a very British style - https://www.goldtop.co.uk/product-page/the-tan-76 GBP329, a steal in American dollars with the pound dropped as low as it is. Never had one of these, but they look great.

Beyond that, I always keep coming back to Aero, especially as the range of Vicenza colours has opened up so much now. Myself, I've been tempted by a Royale in 'natural', or maybe the Aeromarine. Perhaps, though, if you're wanting to look at something different than another halfbelt or café racer, consider breaking the mould and looking to a Bootlegger in natural? I think that would turn out very cool....

How about a version of the Bates Flat Track jacket that I posted a couple of months ago?

Start with an Aero Seven or Sheene, and go Vicenza in natural for the body, and blackened brown on the arms and collars.

Or see if John Chapman will add a collar to his Café Racer pattern, and wait two years. By that time you'll have lost the twenty pounds.

Alternatively, if you want to be less moto, start with a Premier Highwayman. @Stringmaster got a custom build that mixed the 1930s pattern with 1950s detailing. You could mix blackened brown and natural Vicenza again. (Natural on the large front and back panels, blackened brown on sleeves, yoke, collar, and waistband?)

Whatever you choose, you’ll look amazing in it, I’m 100% sure about that! If it makes you feel better, loose the weight, but from here it’s hard to see where and why...
That said, go with the natural leather. I also think that the stains and the wear is the reason why to choose it in the first place!
All the models that are being discussed here are great and I can see you rocking all of them, without exception.
I’m really looking forward to seeing you in your new jacket!!

We live in an age where no one really pays any attention to outlandish fashion and the "Greedo" is not really that far out there. If you take the padded shoulders away, then it's not that moto anymore.
I also tend to think that you get to a certain age and in pretty good shape, you've earned the right to wear whatever the hell you like.

Yeah, it's funny, I didn't think she'd be opposed to the "bike look" as I've ridden well before we even met. OTOH, she could be trying to steer me clear of getting on a bike again. And I don't blame her - I stopped when I was a target of the texters and other fools who don't drive sans a phone any more. We also have three close friends who have been hit on their bikes - all guys my age and with decades of experience.
So, maybe I need to dial-back the biker look here and find a cool model that the natural or a two-tone would work with.
Thanks again to all for chiming in. Makes it all worth while and even more fun. Looking back on the very first jacket I bought, I'm lightyears ahead, but oddly, still confused when it comes time to pull the trigger!

You start by narrowing down your list: The Greedo's way up there; Edward's suggestion re the BL in Natural (Moonshiner, maybe?); my personal contribution would be the Thedi that's similar to a Snake Plissken in Cognac (two-tone with black?). I hope I've made this easier for you.

My 2 cents' worth: the Greedo jacket or the Helstans x Fuel Dirt Tracker Edward posted. Looking at your photo, though, as everyone says man, you look in premium shape, so whatever you choose is gonna look great on you.
