My new Whites Traveler boots, black with cap toe pictures

I ordered these in a fit of rage at the end of august upon realizing a size of the Red Wing GT's that fits me does not exist. I just got them last week, the Traveler, sold by Bakers Shoes, which is the semi dress with a 90* block heel, black with brown trim, cap toe, Vibram 269 sole. I got these to be my every-day shoes. I had them styled to look just like the Gentleman Travelers plus a cap toe.
When you first put these things on, the arch support is so prevalent, it hurts, especially since I have fallen arches. The first day, I was starting to regret spending $400 on these things. The second day, they felt a little better. This week, I dont want to take them off. Its almost kind of annoying since I have a nice boot collection, and I can tell now none of my other boots will be getting much wear for a long time to come. Bakers did a great job, customer service is top notch. My advice to anyone planning on ordering from Whites is 1)Get the boots lined. Its a $20 option, but worth it, and 2)If you have flat-ish feet like me, these will need some breaking in, but do it slowly. Start by wearing them 20 minutes a day, and work your way up until you can wear them with no discomfort. If anyone out there plans on ordering a pair of RW GTs, Iron Rangers, or Wolverine 1k miles, just save the extra money, and get a pair of Whites.

Gone.
Cool boots! The cap toe looks really good on them. With their comfort and quality you're gonna be stuck with these for a while. What's the bonus of the lining, you reckon?

They're beauties! I love the cap toe option! What sort of leather did you settle on is it the default White's leather? Can we get a shot of the underside/soles?

Oh, and this is funny...

Nice shoes. I picked up a pair of White's Packers a couple months ago, and I'm absolutely loving them. The support they give is amazing.

Damn. Exactly what I have been looking for (except in brown). Looks like a single leather sole under the vibram - correct?

Really nice. While I don't yet have anything much like that (a couple of pairs of dress boots, one patterned brogue, one more Oxford style, though no toecap), I definitely have them on my list. I love the look of 30s/40s era workboots - so much less crude than the chunky, rubber-soled modern equivalent, so much closer to what we would regard as a dress shoe today. Whites are certainly on my 'to check out' list if I can find them affordably, alongside RedWing, Alden Indys, and the repros of WW2 US military garrison shoes. Ideally, I'd like a couple of pairs of each, with different browns, black and possibly Oxblood or similar represented across them.

Edmond, I called Bakers, they said it was the exact same as the Semi Dress, except for a block heel. They included the paperwork they sent to Whites for the build order and it says 'Semi dress with 90* heel' since the Travelers are an exclusive Bakers product.

Doublegun, Correct, Vibram 269, single leather beneath

And yes, just the default semi dress leather.

Mysterious Mose, Just looks really nice and gives the shoes a little more breathability.

They feel better every day. Just need a brown pair now......
