...thank you...yeah, that's the one. I bought it from Holland hats for $85...It's not a high end Panama but it's an excellent starter...it's comfortable and really light to wear...

Thanks for your contributions as well. The link you gave also re-affirms that hats blocked in Panama aren't near as good as US blocked ones.

Did you start off with the hat in your Avatar for under $100 and then jump to Brent Black? That sounds like it could be a reasonable idea too, as it would be easier to save for a really fine Panama if the starter didn't cost much.

Interestingly, according to Brent Black's site, this is blocked in Panama (Cuenca), but is still really good...

....yep, that's why it's one of his lower priced ones...but like you said, it's still a real nice Panama for $350...and it's a good looking hat too!
