Hoagy was known for his sartorial sense. As a small man, he knew to dress especially carefully to create the right impression. He adopted the 4x1 double breasted suit very early on because it gave a feeling of verticality with its long, narrow-cut lapels. Hoagy also briefly popularized a tieless dress shirt, with its own dickey, which Brooks Bros sold for awhile in the 1960s.

The statue really looks great, everything looks so detailed. Speaking of which, if he knew his style, he should have known that cuffs on a short person don't work :eek:
