Pocket Knife/Switchblades?

I recently read of a new law maybe coming that will basically do away with pocket knives. I am surprised I am not hearing about this on the FL or is it too political?

Interested as my dad had a pocket knife in his pocket at all times. I thought every little boy had to have one.

Reading that page the issue seems to be that the language used unintentionally struck at knives whose actions bias them towards closing rather than opening, like how the average generic lockback pocket knife will want to be closed rather than open until it's locking mechanism is engaged.

Unlike the Cosmetic Features Bans for firearms I don't see this being much of an issue since they'd essentially be banning safety features on knives and rendering virtually everything except fixed blade knives illegal, they themselves would probably wind up getting caught by this the instant they stepped out of the capitol.

Then again we ARE talking about the federal gubmint.
