sharp!!
That one was painful, Alan...... but I must admit I laughed out loud!... and clean as a whistle. Cause nobody likes a Portis spotty.

less important members may get shown the door for that one... and clean as a whistle. Cause nobody likes a Portis spotty.
Thanks, Alan! LOL at your wordplay!sharp!!
beautiful hat, my size and all (-:A late 1940's or early 1950's Portis Supreme. I have had several Portis hats in the past but this one takes the condition cake! Close to mint. It's a nice milk chocolate brown color and thin ribboned.... very Stratoliner like in proportions.

This one came from @moontheloon just yesterday. My first Portis hat, my first thin ribbon hat, my first lightweight felt, called a Tissue-Lite, and it's a beaut!

Seriously, I already want one in brown, and one in charcoal... and another in Silverbelly! I'd dig a navy if they are out there...Real nice!!! Glad you grabbed that one up. I bet you are loving the light weight felt! I don't know what it is about those thin ribbon hats....be careful you WILL be adding more to your rotation! I just got my 3rd and 4th thin ribbon 2 days apart this week and thinking about reducing my rather small hat collection to make room for a couple more thin ribbons!
Fan-tabulous Portis, Robert! I need more of these!Early 1950's ( O.P.S. era) Portis Supreme. I have had several Portis hats in the past but this one takes the condition cake! Close to mint. It's a nice milk chocolate brown color and thin ribboned.... very Stratoliner like in proportions.
