Yes... that size tag was used from the 1930s into the early 1940s.

Any ideas as to what Model it may have been? It seems to have the 40's Size/block sticker. But model wise, I have no clue. The embossed (is that what it is called) Stetson logo is different to me, as I haven't seen one like that... then again, this is only my 4th. I will have to go through the Stetson dress hat thread, and see if I can find any with a blocking shape simalr to this one & stamped crown logo to hopefully narrow it down.

A distant cousin of Vinyon?

Very odd collection of elements - price tag I've never seen, what appears to be a vinyl sweatband, but with a very leather like nap in the back... I'm not sure. Will post more pictures after I have given it a bit more shape. Vinyon related to PVC - first manufactured in 1939.

A radically interesting piece. I love it! Not really keen on plastic hats, but in this case i'll let my disdain for things that are synthetic slide.

Stopped at a couple of antique malls today. Found an interesting flange, Strat box, a small Knox, and a tiny Borsalino.

Grey Bowler made in Paris. Almost passed on this one because it had some light moth tracking on the crown and underside of the brim, but i'm glad I didnt as after a light pouncing they're no longer visible. It has some damage to the grosgrain on the brim and needs a good clean but aside from that its a wonderful hat.

Justin, it's great to see those two Stetsons from the Henry P. Wetzel shop together again! The one hat from that group that remains in my possession is the one in my size, a Vita-felt.

My inexpert thoughts about dating the hats in the group went like this. The Playboy Air-Light was probably mid-1930s, the Vita-felt is probably early 1940s. The two hats that you have are probably somewhere in that range -- the Special probably late 1930s, the other one probably early 1940s. That seems to match what other folks are telling you.

I've had this for not more than 20 minutes and I'm in love. Parker nailed this in every aspect. I asked for Tom hardy's hat from Lawless. It's natural bunny felt with matching brim binding on a 2 7/8 brim, and has a nearly flawless replication of the rust colored comin and goin pleated ribbon. Here's a teaser shot.

Echter Borsalino arrived today! The good one has a date stamp from 1938. I love the German thoroughness.
That is what arrived! Sweatband stitching damaged, ribbon and bow damaged! I knew that before I have commanded.

K. & R. Lembert Pilot Antilope, Size 59cm, probably late 1950s early 1960s. It has a Stetson like thin ribbon design and the model name "Pilot" could point to a Stratoliner influence. It's in good shape but unfortunately missing the liner. More details in the German - Austrian thread.
