Quick Question: DB Lapel Width

I'm having a custom suit made, and I was wondering, how wide should lapels be on a double-breasted suit if I am going for a vintage-style?

What about cuffs? About 2.5?

It varies. Show your tailor some photos and illustrations of vintage DB suit jackets. A good tailor will be able to judge the appropriate width that way.

Trouser cuff widths varied from 1 2/4 inches to 2 inches. More than 2 inches, and you'll look like you're rolling up trou for Hurricane Katrina.
