Here is the Schott / Restoration Hardware Buco J-100 collaboration. I believe there's been some discussion of this jacket here. It's very rare and took me forever to find one, but I'm just not wearing this style much anymore and I have other jackets in my sights. Beautiful soft hide, very light signs of wear, but no flaws. Ships from Chicago, $700 net to me.

P2P 22.5"
Back length 25.75
Shoulder: 18
Opening: 20
Sleeve: 25.5

For reference I'm about 175, 6' 1" with a 40" chest and it fits me perfectly with a shirt or with a light sweater underneath.

Hmm, anyone know how to make an album public? I can see where it says "private", but there's no option to change that .

Not sure if it's horse or steer, but I assumed it was cowhide. I'd guess there are folks on the forum who can tell from the photos.

Cowhide.
Here's a quote from the original Schott Ad:
"With no compromise for quality, the slim cut motorcycle jacket is handcrafted in the USA and made out of more than 20 pieces of drum-dyed cowhide leather. Designed to sport a well-worn look, it has been deliberately pre-washed and distressed."

This is definitely cowhide, and the perfect spring/summer piece. I've been wearing my brown version for a long time, and it's proven to be an incredibly tough, comfortable, and stylish jacket. In fact, it's the first piece of clothing I ever owned where a complete stranger stopped and paid me a compliment. I wouldn't say it was pre-distressed, though. Tumbled/softened up a bit at the factory, but not pre-distressed.

The photos of your brown one are stunning. I'm still kind of on the fence about mine (the fit is perfect), but in the end I need to raise some $ for a different style.
