You can tell Bob was Smart....as he has some very snazzy shoes.....and now Daniel has another pair of nice vintage snazzy shoes! LOL! NOS and clean as can be. I did the normal conditioning inside and out. Light polish with some Saphir, and some "Bunny Bag" on the smooth creamy white suede. Inside is super nice, over all these are just like they were made yesterday. But they are late 1950's-1960's. These shoes will go nice with lots of clothing Daniel has to wear, the same as with other spectator type style of shoes.

Got my new pair today after a 2 year wait. Didn't mind the wait because it was well worth it. The fit is superb and the shoes are perfect. The shoes are very very elegant and not a wide square toe like in the picture...it is a very elegant chisel that photographs can't do justice to.

Various features include:

* inbuild supports inside,
* a notched heel most commonly on French and Japanese bespoke,
* a canted heel to add pizzazz,
* the famous Cleverley chisel toe
* all leather heel, no rubber moon piece, but uses a metal heel insert coomonly used in Europe.
* close cut fiddle back waist
* 11 spi on soles
* wholecut
* indigo blue alligator leather

Cleverley bespoke is pretty awesome and l want to own more pairs. Well worth it!!! Quality, designing your own shoo and knowing you have a one-of-a-kind pair is the best feeling possible.

Those might be the best pair of shoes I have ever seen! Outstanding

Super nice! No idea what the RG would stand for, but wow nice pair of shoes to say the least, and look at how little wear is on them! Nice Nice Nice! That stitching is killer!

Fantastic find Cookie. Yeah, with the declining aussie dollar the bespokes are now becoming very costly. Cleverley are now modernising and different fromtheir past because they are now using some antiqued leathers and do lots of different colour exotics.

Wow, absolutely AMAZING. I have two pairs of those, one in black and one in tan....possibly my favourite shoes ever. I love Church's shoos.

You do know not much was left out of the menu on your shoes there...more or less the ultimate model of wonderful shoes! I can sure appreciate how you must have taken some desired to see the ultimate shoe made!'

I was going to ask, for you that are in Australia, is not the shoe company Parkman located there? What is you take on those Parkman shoes? Not sure if they do any MTO work, a few of their triple sole wingtips seem to be well made and have a nice appeal. I do note however it seems on some of their shoes the hand painting they do is not done very well, sort of leaving a heavy "paint brush" look to the surface of the leather on some of their lighter colored shoes. And no, I do not think they are any where near as nice as what you have now...oh lord no! I think a vote would place those blue gems of yours on the top ten shoes we have ever seen! And oh yes, I have to give you a thumbs up on your sock selection as well.

You know more about the dating then most do as such I am sure you are correct. There is currently a fairly beat up pair of vintage florsheims shoes just like these on ebay and the asking price ifs over $400.00, they are black and in about a 6 out of 10 overall condition and I think the heel area has some not so good damage from past owners failure to use a shoe horn....sad. I have to wonder how badly someone would want to over pay for nice vintage in poor condition....but some may?

I keep telling people to look at Vintage Shoe Addicts shoes....if there is a size that will fit them, hard for anyone to beat the condition and actually the pricing as well. The website has a link for eBay auction offerings...it is like visiting the candy store!...well for shoes that is! LOL I am still waiting to see some shoes there in a spectator size 11D that is the mesh like what Cookie has posted pictures of. But it is still super nice to just go see what is there now when listings are up....

Some times eBay sellers want top dollar...these are looking nice as if they may be NOS...but drats, only a size 10!!!!! Daniel can't wear them, too small!

The shoes are lovely, but that's got to be one of the most absurdly priced ebay listings I've seen. This style simply isn't rare enough to warrant that kind of money, even if they were NOS.
