So I used Barley in replace of a feather

The wheat's color matched the panama and gave it that natural look I was going for.

That's an interesting idea...and I see it could work. The only question I would have is how durable it is / how long it's going to last in comparison with a feather. AND...probably a good idea to post a picture - eventually everyone's going to want to see it.
