I hear Fred Astaire singing "Heaven, I'm in Heaven....".

Probably not heaven for some of the workers back then but I'm sure there were worse places to be working. As long as you weren't applying the Nitrate-Mercury solution to the hides. No face masks around all that sanding either. Agh! I sound like a nanny. Back to Fred......

Stetson was actually touted as one of the most modern facilities in the world back in the day. It was also quite paternalistic for its workers and most felt they had a great job.

Three dozen of Stetson's "Graeco" Blue Nutria at $117.00 came out to $3.25 each wholesale in 1905.

Block 328 with a 2-5/8 inch brim, going to Butte, Montana... must be western style hats.

I was hoping that was the case, I've read that Knox, Lee and Mallory were all good places to work. Just started Debbie Henderson's Hat Talk.

3rd and 4th from right are J.B. Stetson JR (I think) and G. Henry Stetson.

I think you are right. Here is JBS Jr at a little younger stage in his life and with the mustache we usually see him with.

But I think you are right. The shorter fellow, third from the left does look like Jr.

So is that military photo late 40s or early 50s?

No timeframe. And I'm pretty sure the 3rd from the right is G. Henry. 4th from right is possibly JB Jr.

I think it is Henry if this pic from earlier in this thread is labeled correctly...

The two faces look very much the same.

Also, let's revive these two you posted not long ago, Buler...

Just too cool to let them be forgotten.
