Suggestion to raplce shoulder strap for M39 rucksack

Have to take a short trip with rucksack and I don't plan on checking it in.
Not too sure if the frame is going to cause any problems with TSA or if it will even fit the top cabin.
Right now, I'm thinking of removing the frame but the shoulder strap is part of the frame.
Any ideas?

Are you talking about that Swedish rucksack? I had mine with me in Florida last year. Not a problem. Neither on the transatlantic flight nor on the domestic flight from Orlando to Miami. Don't remove the frame. It's an awful hassle to get it back on.

Yep, that rucksack. Glad to hear its not a problem but I'm still wondering about alternatives.
