Gorgeous Half-Breed Bob ! Strange it arrived the same day Norma's Obit went up . Thinking about it 30 years ago today was my divorce hearing , trial , or whatever they called it . I won , but still lost . 1986 from #1 . A day I can't forget . The Texas Hatters Half Breed Manny probably made is still looking Great . What a Hat ! What a Deal !!!

Half-Breed

Beaver blend with a hand-carved Lone Star leather band.

Same as above with a different shape and band.

Hi-Roller in black.

Hi-Roller in dark blue (as arrived).

Knocked some of the dust off of it and added a band.

Sold this Half-Breed as it didn't fit ... dang it.

13X with 11-1/2" crown!

This older model sold on Goodwill recently. I've not see this logo on a sweat band. 1970s?

This is more or less the current logo (with differing locations over the years).

This is the new one on me.

Seems like this thread could use another bump. I have always loved my Texas Hatters hats. I have a Cuenca straw bowler and a silver belly all beaver derby.

Recently David Torres passed away, so thought it would be nice to see more work from him and his widow, Joella, if anyone has some.

Hats off to you, Mr. Torres.

In that photo, he had just finished it. Poor verbiage on my end. Yes, he will be missed. I need to drive back to Texas Hatters next month to talk with Joella about reblocking and putting in some sweatbands on a couple of other hats.
