The Beau Hunks thread

I couldn't find a Beau Hunks thread so thought I'd add one.

I absolutely love their 1930's musical recreations, particularly the music of Leroy Shield (the composer for the Hal Roach pictures, such as Laurel and Hardy and The Little Rascals).

They really managed to capture the tone and sound of the 1930's. And I believe they recorded using period methods.

I saw them live in London years ago and the audience called for more encores than I ever seen for any other live act.

I have the "Little Rascals" disc and LOVE it!
Fantastic recreations on period instuments. Amazing effort cobbling together these scores from existing films and fragments.
I have a 78rpm disc of my grandfather (yiddish actor and recording artist) that has Leroy Shield's participation noted on the label.
