That would have been about the 2nd yr of the Nome gold rush. Wyatt Earp should have been there or on his way. I like it that the Reception Saloon had "Fine Whiskies". No more rotgut!

Could be one at the end there? Looks like a muzzle loader.Same thought I had. I thought maybe a bayonet was attached, but I couldn't discern from the photo if there was.

I noticed that. Couldn't tell if it was on a tie line or if that is just a scratch in the pic?Maybe that's why the dog is running up the steps.
