I think I posted the lighter colored one but can't remember where? Anyway, both are Royal Deluxe . The brown one has an OPA label ..so '51 to '53. The ligher colored one is earlier by a few years. To me, they seem light years apart when compared. Hoping to get some help on dating this. Comparing it to one dated , by Moon (thank you), early to mid 50's, it has several differences. For one it is an unreeded sweat and the felt is much softer and lighter. Also the brim is 2 3/4", opposed to 2 1/2.
Also wondering if the region in which it is sold could have any influence?
i.e. Phoenix, wider brim, lighter in weight
Northeast, heavier in weight, more narrow brim.
Also the sweat is a thinner leather.
Olive in color, brown ribbon, hardly any head time yet. Thank you!

I would say mid to late 1940's. Do you have a pic of the liner logo?

Hanny's opened their signature building in Phoenix in 1947. Not sure if it existed prior to that. I have a 7XCB that was sold there. Same imprint. I think mine is early 1950s.

Yes, the building's history is interesting.
City owned for decades and used for fire department practice burnouts.
Now a top notch bar restaurant
I'll definitely check it on next Tucson trip.
