A tip 'o the Hat, maestro...!!!
Congrats Art,not everyone can follow their dream.
I'm completely aware of that Sir, which is just one of the reasons for my gratitude. Cheers!!!
Yay! Stay healthy and active, making hats for all of us. You will live to a ripe old age!
Thanks Red & Fed, I can't wait for the next chapter
Congrats Art, I will be in your neck of the woods this coming May and plan to drop in and work with you in person to select my next hat......plus a bit of Rogue River Blue cheese and a dollop of Shakespeare!
C'mon down Sir, or is that up? I should be settled in the new shop by then.
Art, it's been 14 years... what a journey! It all started with a "COW"..and (for me) early Ebay hunting (back when vintage quality could be had for $50-$100, before the good stuff dried up). And from Crockett to Rodeo, and beyond (for you). I do miss those El Sol lunches. This place inspired my trip to Chicago to visit Optimo. I made some good friends there. It's not all about the hat, it's more, it's the friends here on the Lounge. Some are no longer here, sadly. But, at least YOU are still in my "speed dial"
Thanks Kev, it's been a journey. It's good to have friends
Its about a 13 hour drive straight down the I-5. We used to stay in the City camp ground in Grants Pass but it has a large homeless population now and a bit too rough around the edges for us. Will be searching for an RV park closer to Medford.
The Jackson county Fairgrounds now has an RV park open to the public but have no info on it for you. It's all of 3 minutes from the new shop. When the time comes, reach out & I'll try to help
Super, thank you.
Congratulations Art! I'm excited for the new shop, it sounds really nice. Hopefully it won't be as hot in the summer as your current shop.
Thanks Mason, nope, this one has good heat AND air conditioning. What a pleasure it will be working in controlled conditions. The big move starts this week and I expect it will take a couple of weeks to be set up there
Best of luck in the move Art! I look forward to hearing how the new shop turns out.
Thanks Bob, what a job, as you know. I was able to get the finger blocker moved over the weekend but can't start in earnest until I finish painting ( hopefully today)
You bet Art. If I were just a hair closer, I would be happy to help. Well, as long as I don't have to paint
painting is done so, can you pick up that crown iron for me?
I'll be right over, I just have to make one stop along the way.
