I'm being sent to Chicago for a few days at the end of the month for work. Can anyone tell me what the not-to-be-missed shops, venues, all places vintage might be?

Chicago Vintage Shops

Try the Gold Coast area; especially the retail district flanking Clark and
Rush Sts. 'Anthropologie' at 1000 N. State is a standout. Around
700 N. Dearborn Street, just up from the Excalibur Niteclub, a real
gem of a vintage accessory shop is tucked between a trophy/awards
biz office and a hairdresser. Give the 'Silver Moon', 1755 W. North Avenue
a look. And the best for hats is 'Optimo,' around 98th S. Western Avenue
in Beverly Hills. If you do head south toward Beverly Hills, after visiting
Optimo turn east up 95th Street, and look for some small vintage shops
that tend to pop-up and struggle in this commercial corridor. Near the
Rock Island train station, an antique/vintage store anchors the corner
at 95th Steet and Hale Avenue; opposite the tracks is a barbecue joint
that serves the best Jamaican jerk chicken in Chicago.
Also, 'Clothes Optional,' 2918 N. Clark Street; 'Eskell,' 933 W. Webster,
and 'Buy Popular Demand,'2629 N. Halsted.
