Actually there's a very similar coat indeed on P.13 of Maguire's 'American Flight jackets' -only difference seems to be the collar is real fur and not sheepskin. I have a feeling canvas was more popular than one might think. Don't like that 'ooge great collar, probably very nice in a Spad but I'd feel a bit daft in it down the pub.

Well, it's J. Petrman and it's good quality.

I was eyeing that coat when it was above $400, It's not my style, though I like the look.

I agree with BT, not to aviortish. Also, it looks a bit like the Orginal trech coat from Burberry. But, did the British make waxed cotton jackets at the end of the war?
