If you view the person's profile, there is a option (on the left of the screen) to "add them to your ignore list". It's very handy, they can't send you PMs after they are added to your ignore list. The only thing is that if someone quotes the person you've ignored that will show on threads.

If your ratio of "Things I love about vintage" posts to "Things I hate about the present" are skewed too far towards the latter, it can land you on the list. The argument is, that loving the Golden Era doesn't require hating everything else. Fortunately, I'm sure there are many lists for every conceivable peeve. It's impossible to say how many lists a person might be on. This list just has the unique virtue of having gone public. How many lists lie dormant under the surface? I'm sure you're #1 somewhere.
