Fedoras Used in Contemporary Advertising

It seems that as they regain a foothold in modern culture, fedoras are being used more regularly in today's ads. This 67-page merchandising effort showed up today. (I assiduously attempt to curtail unnecessary paper mailings, but try as I may, try as I might, they keep showing up, and I keep calling to remove my (wife's) name from the lists. As fast as I do that, however, these "companies" sell their lists, and so the paper river flows on.)

I thought it might be interesting to track the use of fedoras in advertising as they work their way into mainstream society once more. Interestingly enough, in the entire catalogue, only one other hat appeared, a taco-shell western. Clearly the fedora was chosen as cover art, even if it is a ****py example.

We have the same problem, we're getting catalogues from places we've never ordered from now. Many that come to my wife have scantily clad women, and I've noted them wearing stingy wool, cloth or straw fedoras.
A few of the outdoorsy ones have models wearing straw cowboy or outback style hats. I would say the stingy brims at least are making an appearance.
