I feel like there's definitely been a shift away here from the Hollywood Bold Look to earlier prewar clothing.

Actually, I've been dressing more post-Bold Look, but it is true that the posts on this thread have greatly reflected the pre-war look.

Ditto! I've really gotten into the mid to late 50s "Mr T" look lately. I'm thinking since the latest trend in fashion (see RRL) is geared more towards the prewar look, people are naturally gravitating towards the heavy wools and tweeds.

Very much so, regarding the latter statement. What I do like about the Mr. T./Continental style is that it reflects more of a classic/timeless look. Don't get me wrong, though; I'll always dig the Bold Look!
