Che, looks fantastic brother! Nice find and great deal!

Robert, a cool stingy Malrov, I have heard the brand name in connection with caps.

Mike, you rock that stingy! My guess, that is an Trachten or Alpine Hat. Worn more in the Austrian area!

Thanks Mystic and gear-guy, it's a fun easy to wear hat.

Thanks Manfred my friend, Steve agrees with you and Mystic on the hats origin but still wonder about the style's name. Suppose hatchback is as good as any :)

Mike , you may be starting a new trend here.

I like the "Pacer".....It just fits....and sounds like a hat model name.

BTW...what is the crown height?

Lots of great new hats, everyone!! I've been out and about lately. Mostly with work. The wife was pretty sick last week, so I stayed home for a couple of days and played Mr. Mom. Thankfully, she is feeling better. I received a new Borsalino Savoy from a fellow FL member the other day. I traded my grey Dobbs 20 for it. The Dobbs was a size too small for me; the Borso was a couple sizes too big for him. Worked out great; I am very happy with the arrangements!! :)

It is yet another grey hat in my collection, but this is my FIRST Borsalino, so it is extra special to me. Gave it a steaming when I got it home, and I couldn't help but flatten the brim with a subtle break in the front. I'm just drawn to a clean edge...

It's 4 1/4" at the dip of the front and back dent and 5" in the middle as creased.

David, congrats on your first Borsy, everybody should have at least one, preferably vintage. Can't see the sweat on yours but judging by the liner I'd guess it's a newer one?

Here's a real oddball. Manfred found this at a flea-market and posted some pix of it. I asked him if he wanted to sell it and he obliged making me an offer I couldn't refuse. Thank you Manfred! It's a German Mayser "Favorit", also says "Pierre" on the sweat. Not really sure what to call this hat but I like it.

Pretty bronze liner

Still hasn't reached me, though... It's still with my wife back in the US... she'll be bringing it with her when she comes home.

It's a black Stetson Temple. I asked my wife to choose the color and surprise me...

She was working on and off for a year with Hatco and I think this is her going-away gift from them as the project she has been working on is finished and won't really require her to fly out to Texas anymore.

Thanks 150719541, or a Tyrolean banker :)

Congrats fenris, can't complain about a gift hat but I wouldn't know. I have tried on the Temple and thought it was for me since that's my name but my wife liked the Saxon better so that was that.

Josh tipped me off to an online hat shop listing Biltmore Open Road model = https://hats-plus.com/p-1196-biltmore-open-road-hat.aspx
I thought I had missed getting one with Miller's not selling their Open Door model anymore.
I pulled the trigger on the fawn mode. They were out of Caribou & I have plenty of Silverbelly OR type lids.
The specs state 2 3/4" brim but this measures 2 5/8" at best.
The felt, sweat, liner, etc. is on par with the Campdraft Deluxe, maybe better.
It is by far a better offering than the modern HatCo Stetson Stratoliner & even above the Sovereign Roadmaster.
This is the open crown Open Road style hat that Stetson should be putting out!
This will go great with the 2 5/8" brimmed Campdraft in the works.

PS = for those who wanted the Taupe Fawn 2 5/8" Campdraft, this will do nicely! Consider it a Heritage instead of Imperial though...
