Found this piece of wood near the location of a 1800's railroad that is not in use any more. Still had the nails in it, so I took it home. Perfect for a "hat on a stick". I also found a LOT of square nails and such. Pretty fun place to go.

The colors and textures of the evergreens offer a terrific canvas for my hats. Oh yes, the hats do not reside in the bows, but are just displayed. ;)

Sticks are good, Eric -

"Going Places" Hat Family

Good morning.

IMG2360-M.jpg

Here is a staged a family picture of my vintage Stetson Stratoliners. No alterations have been done to the pic. Overcast, and humid takes some of the vibrant tones out of the felt colors. I thought that it would give a better shot of "all" color felts. In a perfect situation, each felt color should have it's own special lighting.

Thanks you for taking a look and letting me share my Stratoliner family.

Best wishes, Eric -

Fantastic collection Eric! Only need one more to cover the week. Although all are worthy, I would give up some important anatomy for the blue one. Amazing.

Mike, I wasn't but my wife unfortunately was connected to a rather similar looking thingy for the last couple of days :(

The good news is that she is now home and feeling much better!

Eric,

Every time I see your family portraits of your Stratoliners I'm envious! What a great collection!

I have one vintage now and another vintage on the way. Once I get the new one I'll have to try and take a family portrait.

My contribution

Came in this morning from running errands and plopped my OR 25 on the bannister post and it immediately reminded me of this thread. I guess this could be called a stick as it is indeed oak ...trimmed in pine garland no less for the holidays!
