Hi Guys Glad your enjoying the pics & Johnnys caps

herringbonekid,
the site is Los Charros, meaning Mexican Cowboys, Rodeo/Horsemen in Antioch Ca about 53 miles east/north of San Francisco
There used to be this Ancient wooden Arena on this site for cool old school rodeos & cute chicks in cowboy hats & boots too & music.
when the land around it became developed for new homes down went the arena due to it being very old probably 100 years old.
The family that owns the land donated the property (Contra Loma) 780 acres to the regional parks system as long as they can let there cattle graze.
I am fortunate to live a few blocks away & sometimes (more in the past) a stray cow would pass by the house & munch on my landscaping.
you can hear the Cows & Coyotes at night having a good time !
Swimming ,Fishing, Golf, hiking & a cool Ancient Coal mine,
A great quiet place

Personally, I think that fabrics with a small, rather intricate pattern such as this look better in a one-piece eight-dart as it brings out the pattern in a way that pleases the eye much more. The overall pattern created by the eight-panel construction would be too loud for my taste. Large patterns like windowpanes, large checks, conspicuous overchecks or similar patterns can look very nice with eight-panel caps. What I mean is, since the eight-piece construction creates a new, geometric overall pattern, it's generally going to be a more balanced design if you use larger patterns. Just my opinion.

Edit:
Another pattern that I believe can work very well with the eight-panel is the *** club check.

Thank you LeFonque, seabass and Rabbit. I'm very pleased with the way this cap came out. I put a lot of time into it and it payed off. I will be trying other Lost Cap Styles soon.

Even though I have my own very specific taste in caps (8 Dart) it is great that Johnny is making so many styles and is willing to venture further in his endeavours. Through it we all become winners. It is also great to see lost art revived by those willing to use their talents and put time and energy into these things.

Thanks to you and others.
