Had a very interesting cigar, The Perdomo 20th Anniversary, maduro, Epicure (Toro). Very good cigar with a medium body and a nice bit of complexity. Very pronounced undertones of coffee and chocolate right from the beginning. I'm going to pick up several more of these and put them in the humi for awhile as I am very curious to see how this blend comes together with some age on them.

I've got some Montecristo Resreva Negra robustos and Gloria y Cubana Gilded Age toros coming in can't wait to fire 'em up! I'll give a full report of course! :D

La Gloria Cubana Gilded Age, Toro

Gentlemen, I'll cut right to the chase, I've been smoking cigars for well over 20 years and these are now my #1 favorite cigar bar none.
Everything about this cigar was perfect. As soon as I am able I am going to buy several boxes of these. I never want to be without a supply of them in my humidor.

So, I suggest you folks get your hands on some of these and give them a try. I hope you are as delighted with them as I am.

Not a bad price at about $85 a box. :D

Last night I had a Trinidad and a Super Partagas over a friend's house paired with The Speyside. The Speyside was a bit too mild for the cigars though. lol lol

Montecristo Reserva Negra, Robusto
Another A+ cigar! A nice, sweet maduro with a good amount of complexity. The prelight draw tasted like inhaling through a slice of chocolate cake, I kid you not! :D This is a very good, full-bodied maduro with a complex espresso/chocolate type flavor. I think that the robusto size was perfect for this blend.

I usually drink water when trying out a new blend so as not to conflict with what the cigar is doing. But I have been thinking that this cigar will go perfectly with brandy...... I'll let you know. :D

If you favor a very rich, sweet maduro you will enjoy this blend tremendously.

Cheers!

I can still find Tainos once in a while. That was my last one that I smoked so I had better be able to find more. :p
I still have a few from the 1999 or 2000 after selling my 2009 stocks to a friend who really like La Gloria. Today is the opening of yet another cigar lounge in town. Had a Monte #2 and Ramon Allones small club then went to another place after it closed to have a Hoyo short pirimides. Free drinks and only had to pay for the small club.:D

Lol, if it was a whole box, I would have kept it. I sold to my friend a few loose (7 of each) discontinued Tainos and Bolivar Gold Medal (La Casa edition) . I have kept 3 other full boxes of Gold Medal.
