Congratulations on that leather jacket. Great style!

Yeah, I was hoping the 1922 "Stumpy" jeans would turn up.

The Levi's flagship store in San Francisco (now on Market St), had some 1922 LVCs unwashed denim on clearance as of 10 days ago. You might call the store to see if they have anything left. Unfortunately, it did not have my size, but they had a bunch with marked waist sizes of 32 - 34", which I'd guess would measure out at 35 - 38".

On Vente-Privee this morning, I got a pair of the 1930s Riders Pants and a 1920s One Pocket Sunset Shirt In Indigo Mini Check. The sizing on these LVC pants is all over the place, so I hope they fit.

Did you try one on? How did they look and feel?

Yes. Fabric was nice, middle weight and robust. The rear belt was well placed. The zippers are a nightmare - clunky talons with sweatshop aesthetics and so stitched as to make it difficult to engage the stopper box. Maybe the tapes aren't wide enough for the purpose? The jacket was a little longer than I would have liked, but not by all that much. I would prefer it in a dark green or blue melton, but obviously they went with red.

The reversible leather/drill jacket was very nice. A good trim, short cut and nice back treatment. A pity about the crappy pre-worn leather (as always with Levi's) and again the abominable zippers, this time two-sided, which makes it even more clunky.

The zippers remind me of most men and shoes. They go all out creating a look and pair a perfectly cut, well fitted suit with godawful schoolboy beetlecrushers. Why don't Levi's pay more attention to the zips? Their current efforts have no grace at all; absolutely nothing to redeem them.

I think these jackets will be tough for anyone above 6 feet. They are rather short, even in the XL size.

They certainly will not suit anyone with more than a slight paunch. They are really very trim, with pronounced chest-waist drop.

the prices are also quite thrilling, at about £800 for the reversible leather and, IIRC, £400 or so for the red shortie.

H&M has a really great heritage collection right now. Its a little country hunter esque but there are a few very nice pieces for sure.

Chunky wool sweater. I picked this one up today.

Waxed cotton jacket. This one is really nice. I was going to get one but I have way too many jackets right now.

This blaze orange quilted vest is cool but probably a little too bright for day to day use unless you really want to look like you are going hunting while you get coffee at Starbucks.

I think the sports coat is an inspired design. I wonder if it is unique or copied from something else.
Dumb styling pairing that cap with a sports coat, but otherwise good looking items.

Daiki Suzuki when he designed for Woolrich Woolen Mills had a similar styled jacket a few years ago.
