In the Heat of the Night on TCM. One of my all-time favorites. Steiger and Poitier are at the top of their game in this one.
:D

"Steiger and Poitier are at the top of their game in this one." +1, the intensity in their scenes is overwhelming. Maybe matched by a couple of the scenes in "Doubt" when Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman square off.

Saw that one too on TCM.
:D
My wife kept wondering why Sellers wasn't in the movie as much, and that's because TPP was the first in the series.
A Shot In The Dark really showed Sellers talent.
Of course the trivia section on IMDB has a lot of info we don't normally hear, and TPP wasn't for Sellers.
It was for Ustinov, while he was a good actor, I just can't see him in it.
Oddly enough, Ustinov didn't show on the first day of filming (for who knows why), so they hired Sellers.
The rest is history. :D

The Doll Squad (1973).
Like a low budget Charlie's Angels.
With Francine York, Lisa Todd, Tura Satana, and Michael Ansara.
So how good is it?
Well it's a mix between Agent Double 007 (with Sean Connery's brother), and Angels Revenge (1978).
Not the worst movie I've seen, but not the best one either.
The 70's soundtrack is good. :D

Screwy, bally hooey Hollywood
The Ex-Mrs. Bradford (1936) with William Powell and Jean Arthur, doing sort of a Nick and Nora. Racetrack homicide with a creepy twist.
I showed Help! (1965) with those four guys to my wife and teen-aged son, and was disappointed that neither was in the least interested.

If it came from the 1970s it can't be good. :p

Got to give the man his due, Alexandre Dumas could write a good story. Imo nobody has made a good film of it.

Yes, if occasionally a bit long winded. This movie could have been titled "D'Artagnan meets the Three Stooges", but they were probably busy working for Columbia.

A FEW good things from the 70's....

Parliment/Funkadelic
Steely Dan
The end of my military enlistment...
Vanessa Del Rio
My Pontiac Firebird 400 sans "Fire Chicken" decal.

Just a few of'n the top of my haid.

Worf

I'll agree on the Firebird, Steely Dan (I can take them or leave them), and Parliment.
Well, I've only heard a few of their songs (Parliment), Flashlight being the most popular.
I'll see your Firebird, and raise you a Pam Grier and a Tamara Dobson (RIP). :D
Plus I'll throw in Bruce Lee, and Robert Hooks just for good measure.
I still like Trouble Man, especially the soundtrack. :cool2:
