Mach, that is a great Dunhill! The ribbon looks like a rep-stripe necktie!

Dale, that as-found-crease Stetson with boot-tips is the perfect combo and a great photo!

Charlie, I like variety and go from 4+ to under 1.25. But I admit, I tend to prefer brims a bit smaller than my derm is happy with! So I carry zinc-oxide sunblock with me every day. It goes on mostly transparent, or so I hope!

I agree with Mach, you look great in that deuce and a quarter.

A Week's Worth of SUPER Hats!!!

It's been at least a week since I've perused the great hats here. A couple days loses about a hundred hats. A week loses the whole store! Therefore, I will start my comments beginning 9/25. Dave (DJH) usually starts the day off, but since Daniele Tanto lives in Italy, his time stamp starts first...

Daniele 9/25
Quite a nice Panizza, Daniele. You look like you're about to uncover a lost tomb in an ancient land!!

DJH
9/25: Another great shot of your amazing Bluegrass Whippet. I know I've said it multiple times; your hat originally inspired me to bind the edge of my borsalino of a similar color. Nice!
9/26: There's no BS with THAT VS! Stunning hat; superb work from the legendary Art Fawcett. :yo:

GregNYC
9/25: You are becoming a master of style with that Akubra, Greg. Nice shot.
9/26: A stingy Borso in NYC couldn't be more natural. Another great hat to start the day, Greg. Cheers!

Eric 9/25
Portis made some very lovely hats. I still have yet to own one. Your hat is a fine example of their impeccable work. That's a nice and chunky brim edge, too; you could almost chew it. :hungry:

bowlerman
9/25: The Limpia Creek western is cool. Is that a modern hat?
9/26: Sharp Resistol, Jeff!!! I like the color combo. Hard to tell, but looks like a light brown / taupe ?

Lt.hats 9/25
Lots of shade with that Stetson, Lt. Your ears were nicely covered. And your top lip has quite a fur coat!! :thumb: Very cool background set; great for photos. We should grab a cup of coffee one morning, since we're both neighbors!

Alan 9/25
Bravo, Borsalino!! Great hat, Alan. That's obviously lightweight, considering how thin the felt is. Wow, you could flatten that out and wrap a birthday gift, it's so thin. I don't normally see you in such a narrow brim like that, either. Very stingy for you, but a classy lid, no doubt! :photo:

ingineer 9/25
You are giving Joao a run for his money with that taaaaall crown and wiiiiide brimmed Dynafelt! Nice!

hatophile 9/25
Perry, I recognized that Adam before I scrolled down to see the rest of your pic!!! One of my 'Lounge favorites!!! :)

Joao
9/25: I stand humbled. That Stagecoach is muuuuuuch wider than ingineer's Dynafelt.
9/26: Huh. I think I've found my favorite hat of your collection. Awesome 3XB, Joao. :high5:

Phineas Lamour 9/25
WHOA!! I believe you have overtaken ingineer AND Joao by at least two lengths!! Happy Birthday!! Looks like you enjoyed yourself. YOU DON'T NEED NO STINKING BADGERS!!!

Slacker Drummer 9/26
There is no discounting that touching photo, SD. Cool hat, and a nice beanie, too.

mikespens 9/26
Stellar cap, Mike. The cloth pattern showcases a really nice throwback.

tommyK 9/26
Wow, Tommy. A Dobbs 20 and a Stetson 15 in one day??? All you needed was another 15 for a cool 50! :) Both are killer hats. I own a black Dobbs 20, so I know how much you must love yours. Tall crown, generous brim, and smoooooth felt. Where'd you get the Stetson? It looks brand spankin' new!! Great choice of lids that day. Bravo.

1mach1 9/26
Harv, thank you for representing a straw at the tail end of summer. I'm bummed that I will have 4 fewer hats in the coming cooler months. Guess I'll have to make it up with 4 new felts!

splintercellsz 9/26
Way to represent a fine looking Borso, Justin!!

g.durand 9/26
A sharp hat to close out the day. Whippets, Whippets, Whippets!!! By the way, how do you only have 975 posts?

hatsRme 9/27
You have an army of hats, Charlie, and that NOS VS is the General. Superb selection. The suit/hat/tie combination looks perfect. Very nicely done. I can't imagine all of the comments you must have received around town.

AnA, your photo treatments really accentuate the hats' virtues. They look like the fine, classic hats they are, only moreso!

Thank you all for the comments on that brownie. As I said, the main culprit, as before I didn't care much of brown hats.

Today a 2 hat day. In the morning this brown Stagecoach again

And before lunch, switched to this wooly to finalize my moving (I do need a hat room!).

Greg - well spotted on the ribbon from yesterday's VS. This hat is made in the Adam Executive style (inspired by Eric - Short Balding Guy) and it does have a gill-style ribbon.

Here's a photo from some time ago

As always great hats today - Charlie, your new VS is fantastic!

We've been in Philly today, visiting with our daughter who is starting her senior year at Drexel University. The weather was perfect - a good excuse for a straw hat

The usual amazing variety of lids this weekend from far and near gents. A tip of the hat to you all. The forecast sounded like straw and Aloha shirt but the reality was sleeves and the Portis Breeze-Lux for breakfast out this morning
