Her birthday is the 3rd of November, she hates pictures but i will do my best to get you guys some fit pics!

I tried talking my wife into the new Aero Ladies biker jacket they posted on Facebook recently but much to my disgust she wasn't interested in the slightest.
My wife is similar, saved me a fortune. I like the Lewis jackets as they don't make the Perfecto style with the American style pocket on them(keys, condoms, change?
).Lewis were in hibernation a few years back and no one made replica British style bike jackets so I had Eastman put zips on all the pockets of his Luftwaffe design(now called Osterman I think) and delete the back pleats. The look is pure 1960 Rocker, but in my mid 50s have trouble passing as a Rebel Teen haha.
Secondhand ladies Lewis jackets have never reached the highest of the mens jackets, and whats more a lot of women don't want another girls sweaty old jacket on their backs. So roll on November so we may see some fit pics

Yes, Lewis were out of production for quite a while, hence the brief Will-era-Aero collaboration with the Ace Cafe (who'd always hooked up with Lewis before). Can't find any figures on line for exactly when it was, though?

2006/7? To be honest this must have been earlier as I had my Eastman biker style Luftwaffe made some 15 years ago(Still have the receipt). I believe lewis was not producing at that time as for a time the Lewis Leathers name had all but died until Derek bought the rights.

Ah! That sounds about right, thanks. The Aero collab. was, I think, a little later; those jackets seem to have disappeared when the Calders returned to day to day involvement in Aero, and Lewis up and running again.... I vaguely remember the Aero Ace jackets as around 2011ish.
Derek bought the rights when the then-owner retired in the 90s; according to the company's official history, Derek spent a chunk of the nineties researching and resurrecting Lewis patterns from the past. I believe that by the time of the changeover, the historical models they now sell had mostly disappeared from thel ineup in favour of much more modern and then-fashionable types. I think Lewis were selling the current range. or something like it, in the early 2000s (based on what I recollect reading around 2001/2 about various folks in Rocky Horror world buying Lewis jackets to reproduce Tim Curry's leather), but there was a period after that - 2006/7 - when they were non-operational.

She looks great. I know, we always poke fun at ourselves for the male:female proportion of outerwear members...this place is like a Rush concert.
With that said, my theory stands. Women look so much better in leather jackets. And they can wear them 2-x sizes too big and still look dynamite!

Agreed, i like to have them finish at the wrist bone or slightly lower. To me sleeves that touch the first knuckle of the thumb are just to long, and give that "i borrowed my dad's jacket" look.
Also, to me sleeve length is not really influenced by riding. I always wear gauntlet gloves when riding, and i prefer to have shorter sleeves so i can fit the glove over them easily.
Sticking your sleeves over you gloves lets water and wind in!

Odd but I was thinking about this jacket just yesterday, and now the pics are here! Looks perfect and man, seems she's really wearing the heck out of it! Couldn't have wished for a nicer looking (and fitting) jacket! Modern, stylish, functional. It's a great sleeve length, IMO. Just right for women's leather jackets.
Thanks! She'd kill me for saying it, but she was actually considering sleeping in it to break it in faster!
We are going to go visit Aero Leathers next year, and i have a feeling we could both come back with new jackets...
She definitely understands the appeal behind nice leather now... What have i done?
Also, it's funny that you would describe it as modern, the Super Monza model is actually from 1978! Shows how good design is timeless.
