The M-422a you have there I think is an H.L Block. Best way to check is have a look at the air holes perforated on the underarm guessed. If they're stitched not metal riveted, it's a Block.

My latest Goatskin for the herd. 1940s Sears Hercules. I owned another Goat from Block Bilt that used the same Goatskin, same color/feel. I have seen another Goatskin Block that looked very similar. I would guess Block made this jacket for Sears. Fits me like a 46. It is difficult to find a 44, let alone a 46. It needs a few stitches, but wearable as is. I wore it out today.
