Akubra's Taupe Fawn is a nice mid-brown, but it's another one of those colors that's difficult to photograph accurately for an amateur like me. This is pretty close (on my monitor, anyway) to how it looks in direct sunlight; Taupe Fawn Campdraft or the right, Tawny Fawn Fed IV on the left:
In more subdued indoor lighting the ribbon and binding are almost an exact match to the color of the felt and don't exhibit nearly as much contrast as they do in that photo.

Thanks Al. Your's & Roberts hats look great. I'm always wishing the CD was available in more colors (I don't like Silverbelly). I guess I wasn't aware or had forgotten it was available in Taupe. I have midbrown so don't need the new cedar brown. And I have BGG & Moonstone. Would be great in a Navy blue.

It's probably a deceptive photo . I can measure later, but it should be the current spec.

Crown height: 115 mm (4.5")

Am I correct that your 115mm/4.5" measurement is as creased? I ask because my Campdrafts measure closer to 5-1/4" to 5-1/2" (approximately 133mm to 140mm) open crown.

I pulled those specs from Everything Australian's site. Seemed a bit low to me as well. I don't have my hat in hand to measure.

It could be , Red. I'm not sure. This one is 1950's but I am not sure when the model was first introduced.
