Nice! What are the details?

It's a custom hat made by @EstherWeis . 4'' crown, 2'' brim. TONAK rabbit felt with a " glathaar" finish, as she explained. With a pleated ribbon.
Wanted something which could be both dressy and casual. Something between the trilby and the regular fedora and which could be worn most of the year. She nailed it.

TOP shelf as usual, Mike!

I Googoo'd "famous beards of the 1930s and 1940s," and came up almost empty.

But, DON'T shave it!!
Yes, there weren't many beards then. These guys,
ZWY3NTMzZmY0ZiMvWEtFOTFteVhVRFFkdjB2X0lZbXZHaWpjUGhzPS80N3g1OjExNTN4NjU1L2ZpdC1pbi83NjB4MC9maWx0ZXJzOnF1YWxpdHkoNzApOm5vX3Vwc2NhbGUoKTpmb3JtYXQoanBlZykvaHR0cDovL3MzLmFtYXpvbmF3cy5jb20vcG9saWN5bWljLWltYWdlcy85ZGFqeG95eWhrNGtlOXl5cTQwZmd4azRsNjlzZmw3eGRmeWFmdXl6M2JqcWJlaGpldmFneXJzZHljbTJzaWprLmpwZw.jpg

I guess.

Fortunately, they were back in by the 70's and it's much easier to find clothes from then too. Ha ha. I'm far too lazy to shave it, though I would like to remember to trim it a bit more often.

Thanks,
Michael

I'll say she did -- it looks great!

Very Presidential Karl. Love that finish.

Nice! Are you going as "1950s man" for Halloween?

Super OR Bama!

classic image, costume or not!

The color on that Biltmore is da bomb, Bob. Just beautiful.

Great hat to scare the neighborhood in. Some of the same houses you egged at age 13?

Not so scary John, but it sure is nice!

Great looking teardrop, I like the brim work too.

Great progression of hats today Eric. Still loving that shark's gill.:)
Thanks Red!

Bill I really like that baby, could I trouble you for the specs (crown height, brim width, edge - raw/finished, ribbon width)? It REALLY works for you.

This was a Limited Edition from Art Fawcett call "Po Bob."

Beaver in Pecan color
6" open crown
2" brim
2" Vintage Grosgrain ribbon with frayed bow
Grosgrain ribbon binding (ribbon is 1/2")

Hey all!
I thought about dressing up as the ghost of a chance that the 49ers might win a game this season, but decided I'm just not that big of a football fan. So, a tribute to all the spirits with this Supernatural porker.

Hopefully I won't be haunted by the pepperoni I had for lunch...:)
Have a safe and happy Hallowe'en!
