I haven't tried the venison yet...the duck sausage is amazing. Also have wild boar and pheasant. I'm not a hunter but I do know where the best butcher in Chicago operates

If I were to be undertaking a serous, long-distance type ride via motorcycle, I'd certainly look into some decent leather strides with discreet armouring. Otherwise, not really my bag. I did briefly own a pair of leather jeans I bought years ago because they were a tenner and I knew I'd want them for a costume at some point. I think they got worn twice, then they shrank while hanging in the wardrobe. Fine as a costume item where relevant (Doctor Orin Scrivello, DDS), but actually not especially comfortable. Not something I could imagine choosing for comfort rather than protection.
A leather shirt I just don't have any use for. I definitely like the idea of a jacket in as light but durable a hide as that, but the problem I have with this sort of 'shirt jacket' is that they look like a shirt worn untucked, which is a look I have come to very much dislike.
That said, it's all personal preference. Reading these posts seems to confirm my opinion that there is a limited market of people who like leather shirts, which means, per usual market laws, while they're likely to be expensive to produce to a high standard (with no real economy of scale) and so expensive to buy new, the limited market also means they are unlikely to be in such demand second hand, thus won't sell for as much. On top of that, I suspect there are a lot of people who are fine about buying a used jacket, but when it comes to an item of clothing that is slightly more intimate than that wouldn't be so keen to wear another man's shirt - another factor limiting used price. Way I see it, the OP can either choose just to let it go for what can be had, or hang onto it, whether it goes unworn or no. I don't think there's really a way to maximise the sale - unless perhaps seeking out a community of buyers who might like to buy a jacket which is pushed as 'worn / uncleaned' (I've seen it all on eBay; I once saw a guy selling some pretty ropey, old, used sneakers push the angle that they had been worn by "a sweaty, young lad; strong aroma". Got quite a few bids, too(!) Aside from that, eh, specialist market, I think the issue is leather shirts just aren't really en vogue these days. That's fashion for you.
The one promoting a "Christian alternative to Facebook"? THat's what I'm seeing. There's no obvious sign that it's a parody, just a specialist interest group looking to set up an online community for their own. (I would defy anyone in these parts to call that weird!
).
Seems a common issue with SE Asian stuff, I guess built with a people who tend to be smaller in mind. All in, I'd take the blow to the ego that being a 4XL can be over then simply not making my size at all, though Ironheart aren't a brand that has atttracted me to date.

Not many Japanese use eBay. Just as they're only now becoming aware of Steam. Only a tiny portion of their online population visit websites that aren't in Japanese so to truly reach the Japanese market, Yahoo Auctions is your best bet.

This is partially due to the fact that the internet is a thing of non-Japanese origin (and therefore to be regarded with suspicion since Japanese law doesn't apply overseas) and also due to a cultural bias to want to actually handle what they will buy IRL.
Rakuten has spent the last 15 years of so fighting against that, and has been able to win consumer confidence only by setting up regional offices that actually inspect businesses to make sure that they actually exist and hold stock before they are allowed to sell on Rakuten (can you imagine ebay doing that? They couldn't in a million years), ironic considering that Rakuten's owner is Korean under Japanese Nationality Law, given the general xenophobia the Japanese have about the internet.
And this lack of engagement with the world via the internet is reflected in the terrible state of Japanese website design, where everything is thrown onto one page, and government websites operate on Windows 95 with a layout that is shamed by LW's 'gallping horse'.
In short, the Japanese are generally internet un-savvy (search for any data breach scandal), and fear that everything for sale is a Chinese ****.

I should also have mentioned that Japan doesn't have (although this is slowly changing over the last ten years or so) a credit card culture. That makes internet shopping more difficult. My wife won't use her credit card to buy from overseas, nor from Japanese stores she hasn't been to in real life. And she worries about card information security (again, Japan seems to have a low awareness of information security). Additionally, the closed Japanese banking system rejects most international standards, making it difficult to use paypal.
Japan hasn't really grasped the business potential of the internet. Every office here has a fax machine (still in production!) so that paper documents can be sent around for stamping with name seals.

Interesting post(s) J. It's funny b/c I am equally suspicious of Japanese websites and purchasing from them. The product photos are beautiful but even google translate can't make sense of what is blasted across the webpages, as if applied with a *******.
It's never really mattered much to me as I think I would likely be seen as as an albino gorilla, who doesn't need clothes, least of all high end repro leather jacket, so the sizing concerns are null and void....

Really, really interesting to read all this, @Big J! I've heard things are weird over there when it comes to internet shopping (and in general) but had no clue it's so far out.
The website design is what I find most baffling. I mean, even the large, worldwide enterprises, their international web-pages are sleek and state of the art with Japanese variants being... Well, that! Endless, underlined walls of text, most of which is a link to more of the same, with an occasional 300x300 photo of whatever randomly thrown around (which is also a link).
Compared to Yahoo Auctions, Rakuten is actually a well designed website and it's still a complete mess.
The website design is what I find most baffling. I mean, even the large, worldwide enterprises, their international web-pages are sleek and state of the art with Japanese variants being... Well, that! Endless, underlined walls of text, most of which is a link to more of the same, with an occasional 300x300 photo of whatever randomly thrown around (which is also a link).
Compared to Yahoo Auctions, Rakuten is actually a well designed website and it's still a complete mess.
Yeah, I kinda like Yahoo auctions. But I have found people selling fake nylon jackets with official BR's photos who admitted it straight up. And they can because Japan doesn't seem to recognize the concept of Intellectual Property.

It's no coincidence that Japan's 20 years of economic stagnation, the 'lost decades', coincide with the rest of the world embracing global e-commerce while Japan leaves itself out. Seriously, going to the bank in Japan is like time-warping to the 1950's- everything is done on paper.
