IMO option 1 is the most useful one.
I also have one like option 2 and it doesn't help much with forward reach.
No real experience with option 3, but have read that it doesn't function as well as option 1.

Thank you for the advice. Option 1 is my first choice.

Test fit 30's Half Belt jacket I was sent. The Premiere Half Belt will have the same sleeve length.

So, what do you all think? 1/2" shorter on the sleeves or more?

Probably an inch off the sleeves. Also looks a little long in the body with just a little shoulder droop. To me the overall impression is that is overall a little big on you.

I agree.

However, this is not a Premiere test fit jacket but a 30's Half Belt so it is a bit larger up top. I was worried about that also but Thurston Bros assured me the Premiere version will be more trim up there. The jacket drops a bit in the front also, so it is longer in the front than the back.

Maybe 3/4" - 1" off the sleeves. I don't want them to be too short. Better a bit long than short, no?

Fortunately you are working with Wade/Carrie who can give much better advice on the fit than we can. That is the only way to go if in the US and buying an Aero.

Agree %100.

So many options not listed on the Aero site also and many models fit differently so this is their deal and I'm along for the ride. The test fit jacket was a basic fit guide for the Premiere version so I hope the 40 works out. We are going off a size 40 Vanson Model F I tried from them, and the size 40, 30's Half Belt test jacket. Carrie said the 40 in the Premiere Half Belt is the size to go for.

I am unsure what to do about sleeve length. If I hold my arms out straight, the cuff is at my wrist. I like to think I may occasionally use the jacket while riding my motorcycle.

I am already thinking of my next one. A Mulligan that is also offered in a slimmer, Premiere version, that I had no clue could even be done until Carrie mentioned it.

With my arms at my sides, I like for the cuff to hit about an inch, or maybe just a bit more, below my wrist joint. This gives a good street length and works well when riding (a Harley). Carrie rides a sport bike, and I think Wade does also, so they can help you here as well.

I ride an old Norton Commando that I restored and modified and it has straight bars. My seat is lowered so my arms would be out stretched and slightly downward. I'd hate to get too much taken off the sleeves. For sure an inch off. Carrie says the sleeves will shorten a bit once wrinkles happen but the leather will also loosen up a bit so I don't think anything will get shorter.

Seconded.

And yeah, the jacket is a good size or two too large for you. 1.5/2" off the sleeves, 1" off the body length.

I don't think a 38 would fit and I don't think all of you are reading the posts. That jacket is a test jacket Thurston sent and I am not buying it. It is the closest thing they have to a Premiere Half belt and it is a bit too big in the chest and Thurston knows this since I sent them way more fit pictures than I posted here. In the shoulders there is no way I could go smaller. I would not be able to cross my arms in a 38.

I was told to trust Thurston Bros earlier in this thread so I am trusting Thurston Bros and what they recommend so I guess we'll see.

I do plan on shortening a bit also.
