Aero Type 3 Order - TFL input anyone?

Finalizing an order for a Type 3, and I'm struggling with leather choice. I have it narrowed down to 3 hides:

1. Battered tan HH. Love the color variation. A bit worried the color won't be that versatile, and that it is too "busy" for a Type 3 since the style already has a lot going on.

2. Battered steer (a/k/a Shackleton leather): Soft, comfortable. Mid brown. Would do it with a cream or tan stitch. Would make for one heck of a comfortable jacket.

3. Horween Mustang HH. Just an interesting hide. Similar in weight and feel to the battered tan above. Just never seen it in person.

I know many would say do it in Vicenza - not a huge Vicenza fan for various reasons.

What say you, TFL'ers?

Mid-weight Brown oil pull HH would be a nice option too. Easy to wear and develops really cool color variations too.

I would do another jacket in this leather.

I would say you do it in anything before Vicenza.

Battered steer looks best to me. I've never seen any irl so that doesn't really count, tho. Jonesy's jacket is beautiful, too.

I think the corduroy is a nice touch, and I can still shape the collar and cuffs just fine as the waxy leather is just a bit stiff when you put it on, then melts and conforms to you as it warms up. It is a very fun leather.

Jonesy's jacket is beautiful. Unfortunately, the Mustang that Aero uses is not the same color -- its more of a reddish, lighter brown.

I was told that the batch my Hercules was made from was over 10 years old. I get the impression that there is a lot of variation over time even from the same tannery, or maker.
